Angle board is one of the few packaging products where the raw material, the process and the shipping route all sit in the same region. Kraft paper, starch adhesive, folding lines and the port of Qingdao are within a few hours of each other, which is why Chinese angle board is competitive on landed cost rather than only on ex works price.

Paper grade is the first cost lever
Angle board can be made from virgin kraft, from recycled kraft, or from a mix, and the difference shows in colour, stiffness and how the fold behaves. Recycled board is darker and slightly less stiff at the same wall, so a wall that works in virgin board may need to go up a step in recycled.
Where the buyer has a sustainability requirement, the useful question is not whether the board is recycled but what percentage and whether it is certified. Ask for the figure in writing and expect it to be specific; a general claim of eco friendly is not a specification.
Printing and the plate
One and two colour flexo printing is standard, with a plate charged once per design. Text should be 6 mm or larger for a clean impression on kraft, and solid areas are best avoided on a thin wall because the ink softens the surface.
Print is where most first orders lose time. A logo file that is not vector, or a colour that has to be matched, adds a round of approvals before the plate can be made. Send the artwork with the enquiry and the production date holds.
Port, loading and lead time
Our plant ships through Qingdao, which keeps inland transport short for a product that is mostly air. A container of angle board is loaded by nesting bundles, so the loading plan is part of the quotation rather than an afterthought.
Production runs 7-15 working days after approval. For a first order, allow an extra week for the sample and the specification confirmation, because a wall or leg change after production starts is a new run.

Is recycled kraft as strong as virgin?
Slightly less stiff at the same wall. Where stiffness matters, go up one wall step on recycled board.
Can you certify the recycled content?
Ask for the figure with your enquiry and we will send what the mill provides rather than a general claim.

One or two colours, water-based flexo. A plate is charged once per design.
Which port do you ship from?
Qingdao is standard. Other ports can be quoted on request.
