impact resistant U-shaped paper edge protector is specified when the requirement is a behaviour rather than a shape. The behaviour comes from three things that can be controlled independently: wall thickness (2.5-5 mm), inside width (15-150 mm) and the paper grade behind the facing. Change those and the same profile goes from a light carton edge guard to a heavy panel protector that takes steel banding.

Impact resistant U-shaped paper edge protector Specifications

Ask for a sample of the exact wall thickness and try it on your own strap tension. Paper does not behave like plastic: at the same wall it spreads load better but deforms rather than springs back, so the right thickness is usually one step up from the plastic profile it replaces.
