A foldable corner protector is a short U piece with a single notch, folded at 90 degrees and pushed over a panel corner. It is the smallest useful unit of this product: one part, one corner, no measuring, and it can be fitted by anyone on the line without a drawing.
Most corner damage happens in the first 100 mm from the corner. A short foldable piece covers exactly that zone, on both faces and on both edges, which is where the impact lands.
It is also the cheapest way to protect four corners, because there is no waste on the middle of an edge that is already protected by the stack.
The limit is the edge between corners. A short piece does nothing for the middle of a long edge, so it is used with a straight length or with a banded stack.
Corner pieces are specified by the panel thickness and by the leg, and the notch is always at the centre of the piece.

One piece per corner protects the two faces and the two edges on that corner. Where a panel is stacked face to face, the corners that matter are the four exposed ones.
On a pallet of panels, each layer has its own four corners. That is where a corner piece costs less than a full-edge solution and still removes the point contact that damages the panel below.
Fold on the bench, push on the corner, done. No adhesive, no tape, and nothing to cut off at unpacking, which matters where the customer keeps the packaging.
The piece can be unfolded and reused if the pack is reworked. The fold marks stay visible, but the protection is unchanged.
How long should a corner piece be?
About 100 mm, which covers the zone where most corner damage happens.
Do I need edge protection as well?
For a long edge yes. The corner piece only protects the corner.
Is adhesive used?
No. The piece folds and holds by fit alone.
Can they be reused?
Yes, unfolded and refolded if the pack is reworked.
